Summer Birthdays

During the summer we celebrate all three of the boys birthday. This year they were lucky enough to have cousins or friends around for their birthday parties.
Devin's BirthdayDevin always wants a cowboy theme for his birthday cake so this is what Joel and I came up with this year.Devin blowing out his candles, 9 years old. Devin's birthday this year happen to be during our Lewis family reunion. Fun to have Lewis cousins at his party.

Hayden's Birthday Hayden chose a Star Wars theme.Because he turned 8, he was allowed to invite friends for a party, so we invited all the Jedi Knights in our ward for some star wars fun.

Here are our Jedi's, Storm troopers and one bad lady.

Tanner's Bithday
Tanner wanted a bumble bee cake, Bumblebee the transformer.Tanner always choses to go to the beach for his birthday. This year we tried a different location. We went to Stone Resivior, Laurie's family joined us for some end of the summer jet skiing.

I loved Tanner's face in this picture, even if it is a little bit fuzzy.

I don't know why he always wants to go the beach he won't ride in the tube or on the jet skis.
This year Joel convinced him to go for a birthday ride and let him drive. He loved it he told everyone that 6 is old enough to learn to drive.
Love these boys, they make our family so very happy. I hope they had great days and know how much we love them.

Soccer

Hayden's team did very well. The kids played well together and had a fun season.

Devin played on a full size team this year, it was a lot more running than in past years but he did great.

Tanner had his first year of soccer. He did great and had alot of fun. He got his first trophy and was sure proud.

Devin's haircut

None of my kids have ever cut their own hair before, and I thought that my boys were too old to do something like that and if anybody cut their hair it would be Ellie cutting off those crazy curls. But the other day I looked at Devin and this is what I saw.

Time for the first buzz of summer.

Yesterday we celebrated our Ellie's 2nd birthday. The past 2 years have seemed to fly by and it is hard to believe that she is growing up so fast.
It seems that the terrible twos have hit with a vengence, though. I stopped by the grocery store to pick up ice cream for Ellie's birthday and ended up carring both Taylie and a screaming Ellie to the car . I made Tanner carry the ice cream. Then I discovered that Ellie had kicked off her shoe in her tantrum, so I had to go back in looking for it. Remind me why I don't like to take my kids shopping.
We sure love our Ellie,
are so glad to have her in our family.
she is as rough and tough as the boys, but in a girly way.
They fight with light sabers or ninga weapons
and she keeps up with her wand and dress up shoes,
usually pushing a stroller as well.

PLAYING A LITTLE CATCH UP
Little Taylie, babies are so sweet.

Can you spot the two little heads in my laundry pile?

Ellie loves to color!

Having a picnic under the table.

Ellie is such a little mama.
Going out to play in the snow.

Sledding in our driveway.
NEW YEARS AT GRANDMA AND GRANDPA LEWIS'S HOUSE
Of course there would be a horseback ride, or two, or three, or as many times as Devin could talk grandpa into taking him.

Ellie opted out of a long ride on the horse to have grandpa push her in the swing.
