Strawberry Weekend

Joel's parents have access to a cabin up by Strawberry Reservoir and a couple of weeks ago, invited us to join them for the weekend. It is always a good time to hang out with family, but my boys love that Grandpa always brings his horses. It looks like all they did was ride horses and I'm sure grandpa felt like all he did was put boys on and off horses, but my boys had a great time and can't wait to go back to ride again. Thanks Grandpa for the great time.

We did take some time to go fishing. We didn't catch anything but enjoyed hanging out with cousins.

Tanner fell in to the lake while tring to get a stick. The water was freezing, so that was the end of our fishing trip.

Ellie's Blessing

The blessing of Ellie Jean Lewis.

On Sunday June 1st, we blessed our little Ellie. She was 3 months old and it was time to do it. We had waited to bless her so we could do it in our new ward and we would be in our new house. It turned out very nice. Thanks to all who came and made Ellie's day more special. Aunt Tammy made Ellie's dress and she looked beautiful.

Our New House

Our family recently purchased a new house. After all the drama of our move acrossed the country and being homeless for a few months we were blessed to find a beautiful new home for our family.

During our move we lived for 2 months in an apartment, on the 3rd floor. It was a tough time for the boys. After visiting family and heading back to the apartment, Tanner would cry and cry "Not the partment, not the partment". Then we lived for 2 months with my mom and dad. That felt alot more like home to the boys. They had a great time living with grandma and grandpa and some cousins. It was still hard to be with out our things. Every time Tanner would see a picture of our Ohio house he would cry and beg to go home. It was very hard for him to understand that that was not our house anymore. After making 2 trips to Utah to sign papers on this home we were finally able to purchase it. We took Tanner and Ellie with us to the signing then up to the house. Because of the many delays in the closing of the house our things had all ready been delivered to the house before we actually closed. When we arrived at the new house and Tanner was able to see his things he was in heaven. He went through the whole house naming everything he recognized as his stuff. We are so glad to be in our own home.
Back of the house Notice all our rocks, we have a rock yard. Boy, do we miss the green grass of Ohio. But we do have a great veiw of the valley both out the front and back of the house.

Blogging Again

We finally have the internet! It is a long story but the house is finally wired and the guys returned again today to install our internet. I am so excited, but since I spent the whole afternoon reading everyone elses blogs I don't have time to post anything on mine. I'll have picture soon.

Hair Cut

I did it. I have been saying for a while that I was going to get my hair cut, and yesterday I had some time to waste so I was visiting Tammy at her work (she works at a hair salon) and I had her cut it off. I had 13 inches cut off and will send it to Lock of Love.
