Easter

One of my favorite time of year is spring. When the weather starts to warm up, the snow melts, the grass turns green and the flowers begin to grow. But spring also brings Easter, one of my favorite holidays. This year for Easter we had the opportunity to be with family, something we have not been able to for many years. It was fun for us all to be a part of family holiday activities. This was one of the reasons we moved closer and we need times like these to remind us that it really was worth the move. The kids had a great time with cousins.

On Friday we started celebrating Easter by coloring eggs. Without power, of course. It seems that without fail around holidays the power goes out at mom and dads. So by light of the fading sun we colored our eggs.

Saturday, after more cousins arrived we went on an Easter egg hunt. Here is Devin with his loot.

Hayden out looking for eggs.

"I can't believe it" said Tanner as found eggs just lying on the ground.

And then on Sunday, we took little Miss Ellie to church for the first time.

It made me think of the newness of life and the resurrection that we celebrate and could not think of a better Easter gift. A new little one to remind me of our Saviors love.

Ellie is so sweet! I love that dress, it is perfect for spring. It is fun that the kids got to have a hunt with their cousins. We are looking forward to that someday too!

Hey, way cute dress! I looks like something I would have picked out:)! Funny, it also matches the dreses my girls got for Easter. It looks very cute on her. And those shoes are pretty dang cute. In a couple of those pictures, I think she looks a little like Hayden. I'm hoping we get to meet her soon. Alexys said last weekend,"Baby Ellie will still be cute when she's walking huh."I said "yes, why?" "Cuz I think that's how big she'll be when we finally get to see her." I'm hoping it's not that long before we see her. She's beautiful! And Easter looks like lots of fun and a little cold?
