We are in the process of a large move and have been in this transition for almost 6 months. If I had known that this move was going to work out like this there is no way we would have done it. We have known since we moved to Ohio that the day would come when we would want to be closer to our families. That day came about a year ago. Joel and I decided that our boys did not know their grandparents, cousins, or other family members very well, and that we were missing out on so many things. So we decided that it was time to move. There was several things that I wanted to do in Ohio and in the East before we left the area, so I did not let Joel look for a job right away. By the end of summer we had done some neat things with our family and friends that I was ready to go.
Joel applied and was offered a job in Utah in a perfect spot, right between our families. We would be about 2 hours from both of our parents. We were excited. We went right to work and put our house on the market. This was the end of Sept. What we discovered was that this was not the best time to try to sell our house.
Come Nov. Joel had to be in Utah to start his new job, I decided to stay in Ohio to try to sell the house, so I did not have to pull Devin from school, and because living in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 little boys did not sound like fun. This was not a fun time for us or for Joel, he did get to fly back for Thanksgiving and then again at Christmas time. It was then that we decided that we were done being separated and moved our family to Utah. We did move in to an apartment, I did pull Devin from school and we still had not sold our house.
I knew that this apartment living was only temporary and so I did not put Devin back in school. We began homeschooling. What an adventure. And to add to all of this our baby was due the 12 of March. I was looking for a new doctor and having to hassle with new insurance. Added to all this the relocation company told us our time in the apartment would be up on March 9th and we needed to find other accommodations for our family (our home in Ohio had still not sold, so we could not buy a new one). What stress!
I was able to chat with my doctor and convince him that I needed the baby to be a little early because we would be moving to Idaho to live with my parents until we were able to buy a house. He was very good to start us and as you can see from previous posts we were blessed with a beautiful healthy baby girl. And when she was 6 days old we move in with grandma and grandpa Wilson (thanks for the room).
Our home in Ohio did finally sell in Feb. and so now we were able to go ahead and make plans to buy a home in Utah. The home we found and negotiated a price on was sold while we were in the hospital to somebody else. So we began our search all over again. Now the boys and I were living in Idaho with my parents and Joel was living with his sister near his job. We were seperated again. Joel did join us on the week ends.
As we were getting closer to making an offer on another home the relocation company let us know that they were no longer paying for our things to be in storage and that we were now responsible for that expence. This move has not hardly had any thing good about it. During this time both of our vehicles were wrecked as well. I've spent many days and nights wishing that we had not left Ohio.
On Sat we finally signed papers for a home and so hopfully will be able to move in by the end of the month. Things are looking up.

Easter
One of my favorite time of year is spring. When the weather starts to warm up, the snow melts, the grass turns green and the flowers begin to grow. But spring also brings Easter, one of my favorite holidays. This year for Easter we had the opportunity to be with family, something we have not been able to for many years. It was fun for us all to be a part of family holiday activities. This was one of the reasons we moved closer and we need times like these to remind us that it really was worth the move. The kids had a great time with cousins.
On Friday we started celebrating Easter by coloring eggs. Without power, of course. It seems that without fail around holidays the power goes out at mom and dads. So by light of the fading sun we colored our eggs.
Saturday, after more cousins arrived we went on an Easter egg hunt. Here is Devin with his loot.

Hayden out looking for eggs.

"I can't believe it" said Tanner as found eggs just lying on the ground.

And then on Sunday, we took little Miss Ellie to church for the first time.

It made me think of the newness of life and the resurrection that we celebrate and could not think of a better Easter gift. A new little one to remind me of our Saviors love.

Lost Video
As many of you know we have been moving due to a new job and opportunity to be closer to family. Well Joel spent 2 months away from Debbie and the kids during November and December of 2007, so it did not seem much like Christmas time to him. So when the boys were asked to sing at the Church Christmas party Debbie took the Video recorder and asked someone to take video of the boys singing. Well needless to say the person running the camera was not aware of how it worked. So Debbie thought that nothing was recorded. However, Joel found today that some video was recorded on the memory stick. So here it is. Sorry for the low quality.
Background: Tanner was supposed to sing with Devin and Hayden but it did not happen.
Enjoy!!

New Little Girl
On Sunday 2 March 2008, we were blessed by a loving Father in Heaven with a little Girl.
Here are her specifications
Name: Ellie Jean Lewis
Birth Date: 2 March 2008 at 2:26 pm
Weight: 6lb 110z.
Height: 20 in
We are so excited to have her here. But no one is more excited than her mother.
Here are some pictures:
Mom is doing fine and her brothers are excited to see her.
The boys spent the day at Aunt Tammy's House. They were excited when Grandma and Grandpa Lewis showed up. Hayden told Grandpa that it was time to go to their house. Grandpa told him they will go after they see their new sister. Hayden looked at Grandpa and then said, "OK, but make it quick".
We want to thank all those who came and visited. We also want to specially thank Venita and Jeph for coming. We are sorry that your stay was so short, we were hoping that the nurses would hold off a little longer.
